Current Construction
Northwest Highway and West Lawther Drive
(November 17, 2010)
Estimated completion date is May of 2012. A temporary detour has been set up by TxDOT during reconstruction of Northwest Highway. This involves using temporary asphalt paths on the north and south sides of NW Highway to reach the signal at the DART rail station about 300 yards west of West Lawther Drive.
Once the construction on Northwest Highway is complete, there will be an entirely new section of the White Rock Creek Trail under the highway that reconnects with the White Rock Lake Trail.
